- How does the SeaLift Hydraulic
System work?
The SeaLift uses one hydraulic cylinder to raise
and lower lifting arms that carry the tender/pwc
in and out of the water. As the arms are
lowered, the tender/pwc is resting in the cradle
and rolls down the tracks while staying level as
it enters the water. As the arms continue to
lower, the tender/pwc floats free and the lift
drops away, allowing access to the swim platform
for your enjoyment. When the Sealift is raised,
the self-adjusting chocks center the dinghy or
PWC in the cradle. As the arms are raised, the
cradle rolls forward, keeping the tender/pwc
level, where it locks securely in place. Four
stainless steel ratchet straps secure the dinghy
or PWC using 6 tie down points incorporated in
the SeaLift. This entire process of launching or
stowing your tender/pwc is conveniently done in
less than 18 seconds with the one touch wireless
remote control. Back to Top
- What materials are used to build the
SeaLift Hydraulic System?
The SeaLift is manufactured to the highest
standards. Each SeaLift is custom designed by a
naval engineer with over 35 years of experience.
We use 100% electro-polished stainless steel to
better tolerate the harsh conditions of a salt
water environment. Anti-fouling paint is used on
the transom mounted assembly to deter barnacle
and algae growth. Many other lifts do not use
anti-fouling paint and are made of powder coated
aluminum which will deteriorate much faster in
salt or fresh water. Each SeaLift is tested and
rated for lifting capabilities suited for your
application.

- Does the SeaLift have different lift
capabilities for smaller applications?
The SeaLift System has a maximum lift capacity
rated up to 800 lbs. Boat size and individual
application will determine which rated lifting
capabilities you choose. SeaLift, Inc. will not
increase capacity heavier than allowed by the
manufacturer. No transom modifications are
required for installation. Sealift has built in
overload safety devices to prevent boat or lift
damage.

- Why is the SeaLift considered the
best value of all hydraulic lift Systems?
The convenience and simplicity of “one touch”
wireless remote control operation allows easy
lifting, stowing, and launching of your tender/pwc
in less than 18 seconds. SeaLifts are
manufactured to the highest quality standards
and made of 100% stainless steel to better
tolerate the harsh conditions of a salt water
environment, not powder coated aluminum like
other lifts. Our removable patent pending cradle
and lock mechanism can be stored when not in
use. SeaLift weighs only 250 lbs and was
designed to keep the center of gravity over the
swim platform. By keeping the weight forward
there will be little change in your boats
performance. Compared to other lifts, SeaLift is
the leader in minimizing the reduction of
performance by adding a tender/pwc lift to a
boat. SeaLift has a capacity rating of up to 800
lbs, depending on your application. Installation
is independent of your swim platform and no
transom modifications are required. SeaLift is
the most affordable hydraulic transom lift and
is half the price of expensive platform lifts.
Professional company certified installers and a
comprehensive limited warranty make SeaLift the
best value of all hydraulic lift systems on the
market.

- How do I choose the appropriate size
tender/pwc for my boat?
Always keep the length of your tender/pwc at
least 2 feet shorter than the width of your
transom. For example, a new 40’ SeaRay Sundancer
has a beam that is 13’2” at the widest point.
However, at the stern, the swim platform is only
12’2”. So the ideal size of your tender should
be 10’ for this boat. Weight is also an issue.
The more weight you have at the stern, the
longer time for your boat to plane. The SeaLift
System weighs only 250 lbs. Keep your tender
light and remember to add life jackets, gas
tank, engine and battery when figuring total
weight.

- Will the additional weight on the
stern reduce my boat’s performance?
Anytime you add weight to the transom of a boat
you will affect boat performance. The trick is
to minimize the lift weight and to keep the
center of gravity forward. The SeaLift System is
only 250 lbs and is made to keep the center of
gravity forward over the swim platform. Our
system will keep your tender/pwc untouched by
acceleration or deceleration wakes and is less
likely to be affected by following seas. SeaLift
keeps your dingy or PWC high and dry. Compared
to other lifts, SeaLift is the leader in
minimizing the reduction of performance by
adding a tender/pwc lift to a boat.

- What if I need more reach to
accommodate my large swim platform?
Every SeaLift is has a custom made dually
integrated four-bar linkage system that has been
measured to fit your individual boat’s
configuration. We have a naval engineer with
over 35 years of experience that will custom
design the SeaLift to your application. Our
designs can make adjustments in the linkage of
up to 50” from the transom of the boat.
- Will the SeaLift block the use of my
swim platform?
No. About 1/3 of the tender/pwc beam is over the
swim platform, which allows access to your
platform while minimizing the affect of lift on
performance. With the SeaLift System your swim
platform remains uncluttered. Unlike tip-up
lifts, a sizeable foot path is available to
easily secure dock lines, acquire access to
transom lockers to run power cords, or reach
needed cleaning supplies.

- Who completes the installation of
the SeaLift Hydraulic System?

needs and your SeaLift is custom designed, then
our professional company trained installers will
integrate your SeaLift into the transom of your
boat. Your SeaLift System will give you years of
relaxing fun on the water.
